…Memories of the Past
It’s old news that Wyandot Lake was purchased by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and is closed for this season, but…

I have quite a few memories of this outdoor waterpark…so bare with me as I reminisce.
Over the years I’ve visited the waterpark with family and friends. It was always fun to take the kids especially since I’m a kid at heart!
My friend’s kids always wanted to go on the Sea Dragon first, and then go in the waterpark. They loved the Wave Pool and Christopher Island. With lots of hoses, they enjoyed getting me wet!
Canoochie Creek was pretty cool. You could enter or exit it from the midway and in the center of the creek was a nice spot for adults. We could relax and enjoy a drink while the kids played.
Some of the waterslides for adults were fun! I remember going down the fiberglass slides… talk about fast!
After playing in the water, the kids would be ready to head out for rides.

The Sea Dragon was their favorite, but they did like the bumper cars and boats.
Wyandot Lake grew over the years adding water slides and rides. It definitely gave us some good memories.
The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium really created an awesome waterpark! Check out the new Zoombezi Bay Waterpark!

i agree good days, alright. I remember going to Wyandot lake too. the food and the rides. the white roller coaster and definetly the black soup ride was my favorite ride. I remember going their on a field trip that when it was almost time to go, my friend, rayna had a funnel cake, & I never had try it. She gave me a piece of it & I liked it. That was my first time having funnel cake. Oh! good days alright!
