This family restaurant with its motor sports theme invites you into a fun-filled atmosphere.

From the cycles, cars and other sports machines on the ceilings to the 55 gallon drums in the wall, there’s never a dull moment. Each time I visit I spot something new.

The menu is definitely not boring either. You’ll find a variety of 19 sauces and lunch and dinner choices of everything from wings to ribs and steak.

My first visit I had the Rib and O’Ring platter. We sat at the outside patio that day because they were hosting a Cruise-In. These onion rings are one inch thick and crunchy and served with Louisiana Lickers sauce for dipping. The Ribs were tender and delicious and there was so much food I didn’t have room for dessert.

On my second visit I had the Lunch Buffet. You get all the salad fixins’, potato salad, baked beans, ribs and several varieties of wings, finished off with chocolate or white cake for dessert. The buffet is Monday through Friday from 11AM to 2PM.

The menu has some unique names that are motorsports themed. Some of the listings are Garage Salad, Lubeburger, GTO Gyro, Hot Rod Chicken Sandwich, and Mustang Chicken just to name a few.

There’s definitely enough types of food to make everyone happy!

Quaker Steak and Lube features various specials like the All You Can Eat Wing Night, Family Night, Bike Night, Truck Night, and Party on the Patio.

They also hosted the Cruise-In For Parkinson’s presented by the Central Ohio Parkinson’s Division. They had a great turn out of cars for the show! It’s awesome to attend events that help others!

They do have other locations in Ohio as well as Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

You will find the food is not typical of a chain, it’s delicious and priced right.

Location: 8500 Lyra Drive, Columbus – just off Polaris Parkway – Phone: 614-430-9464.

You can check out their events at their official Web site.

Quaker Steak Bike Night

by Cheri

We like to go to Quaker Steaks bike night on Wednesdays. They have happy hour and good food.

A lot of people join in of all ages and we’ve met a lot of people.

We like the Sunday cruise ins with the DJ. Quaker Steak has a lot going. We get good food and service and have a lot of fun.

My husband and I stopped in on the one off polaris pkwy, and we were not satisfied with the service or the food. First we walk in and we have never been ther before so we didn’t know if we were supposed to seat ourselfs or not, so we just sat ourselfs, because no one was around. I could understand if they were busy but they weren’t. Then the food was over cooked very bad I could hardly chew it, usually I never do a comment on restaurants, because most of the time we never have a complaint, but this was terrible. everybody just standing around and looking at you.
