The Knotty Pine Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio opened in 1935 and is still popular in the Grandview area.

Chick Ciccone originally opened a small market across the street from the current location in 1923. Back then it was Ciccone’s Market.
Once moved, he operated it from two rooms, one for the market and one for the restaurant. A couple of years later in 1935 he opened the Knotty Pine as a tap room.
It remained in the family until 1968; however the restaurant has continued to serve Italian cuisine. In 1990, ribs and chili were added to the menu.
In 2004, under new ownership, it was closed for about six months during a renovation period. Complete with a new bar, new decor and a nice outside dining area,
it doesn’t look the same, but the food is still excellent.
Besides the Italian cuisine, they serve great ribs and all the meats are smoked there at the restaurant.

NO Service at all…A real let down…very nice looking, but never again…there are too many places that want the business…KP seems to be above that…Not the 1st time I have experienced this and other folks have expressed the same…soon to be a vacant building I am afraid.

The food was great and everyone was really friendly, the inside looks great after the remodel and it was nice to sit out on the covered patio.
