The Florentine Restaurant Columbus Ohio… one of the classics in Columbus with great food and great prices!

Walking through the doors of this fantastic restaurant is like taking a slight step back in time. It’s a great family restaurant in an old neighborhood that still serves good old fashioned home cooking!

It’s also one of the oldest restaurants in Columbus.

Founded in 1945 – three generations of the Penzone Family have been serving Columbus for 60 + years. It only gets better as time goes by!

With a lot of Mediterranean art and classy decor, this is fancy yet warm and inviting. Specializing in Italian and American cuisine, there’s something for everyone on the menu, and the prices are very reasonable.

You’ll find appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, entrees, omlettes, sandwiches, and Pasta…Pasta…Pasta!

I’m a huge seafood lover, but I also love pasta. The choice was tough to make but I ended up ordering the Florentine Shells. These are umbo ricotta stuffed shells baked in Alfredo sauce with fresh chopped spinach, diced tomatoes and provolone cheese.

My partner in crime ordered Ravioli Ala Capri which is jumbo beef ravioli baked in marinara sauce and covered in melting provolone cheese.

We also had Fried mozzarella which is mozzarella cheese breaded and fried a golden brown and served with marinara sauce. We were not disappointed in the food and we were too full to have dessert!

The prices are so reasonable that you can get a great meal starting around $6.95. They also have an excellent wine list and you can get a cool brewski!

We didn’t have to wait to be seated which surprised me when we got there. But it’s a big place and we were seated right away.

Our server was excellent, everyone was friendly, we had a great time chatting with people sitting around us, and a great meal!

I highly recommend Florentine Restaurant Columbus Ohio for any occasion and for no occasion. You can’t go wrong there!
