Ohio Boat & RV Show
Dates: January 4-12, 2014

The Navigators Concert
Date: January 11, 2014 at 7PM
Cost: $10 cover charge at the door, all proceeds go to CASA of Franklin County
Location: Woodlands Backyard, 668 Grandview Ave., Columbus, OH
Come join us for an evening of great music by The Navigators and support CASA at the same time! The Navigators are a 13 piece Columbus-based band that focuses on having fun and raising money for charity. Formed in 2002, the band has raised over $200,000 for local and national charities. The Navigators play a limited number of shows throughout the year, so don’t miss this chance to see them and to support CASA!

Fiery Foods Week Celebration

Micah White: The Future of Protest Is Slow

It’s time to experience the climb of your life! 40 floors, 880 steps! Join the Fight for Air Climb and help enable the American Lung Association to continue their lifesaving work for healthy lungs and healthy air. Create a team and compete together, or compete as an individual. All participants are required to raise a minimum of $100 by race morning in addition to registration fees. By meeting the fundraising requirements, a t-shirt is included in registration. Your participation will raise the funds necessary to provide life saving education, research and advocacy to beat lung disease and find the cure.

The Komen Race for the Cure® is a unique event, designed and implemented to promote positive awareness, education and early detection of breast cancer. It has proved to be an enormously effective way to reach many women and men with the message that breast cancer is not necessarily fatal if mammography and breast self-exam become routine. As well as being a road race for runners, the Komen Race for the Cure® is an emotionally charged event that attracts many first timers and recreational runners. It is an opportunity for thousands of women, men and their families, running or walking, to spread the breast cancer message within their communities. Up to 75 percent of the funds raised at the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure® remain here in our 30-county service area to provide breast health research, diagnostics, screening, treatment, services and education for uninsured or under insured women. The remaining 25 percent goes to fund national research to discover the causes of breast cancer and, ultimately, its cures.

15th Annual Easton Art Affair

4th Annual Blondes vs. Brunettes Powder Puff Football Game

Franklin County Fair

Mom & Me Daisy Dash
Dates: July 13, 2014 at 9:30AM
Location: Begins at American Girl Store, Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH
This event is all about FUN, FITNESS and FAMILY. Sponsored by McDonalds and hosted by American Girl, this program is designed around a unique and colorful family setting where the focus is on “Mothers and Daughters.” The morning will consist of three fun events starting with the Mini Me 100 yard dash. Recommended for kids 6 and under this race includes a cool looking t-shirt, finisher medal and (of course) a finish line goody. The Mom and Me “Daisy Dash” is a 1 or 3 mile run/walk and is your chance to “lace-up the shoes” and spend some quality time with your “next generation”. Don’t have kids but want to join the fun? Why not bring your mom or friend for a casual stroll around Easton Town Center. Remember, you’re never too old to get some exercise and meet new friends. American Girl Dolls are welcome!

“Sounds on the Town” Concert Series

Fitness Yoga
Dates: Fridays, June 6-September 5, 2014 from 8:30-9:30 AM (Yoga will not take place on July 4)

What better way to start your Friday? Designed for the first-timer and mainstream fitness fan, this introductory yoga class focuses on strength, conditioning and flexibility. Led by Life Time instructors, it’s free and open to the public, ages 13 and older. So bring your mat and join us for fitness and fun in the sun! (Moms, you can check your children into the Child Center while doing Yoga on the Square if you are a Life Time Fitness member. You will need to leave a cell phone number with the Child Center and check in with the Yoga instructor when you get to class.)


Superhero Day

Tom Burckhardt: Full Stop
Dates: August 22 – October 4, 2014
Gallery Hours: Monday-closed; Tuesday – Friday 10AM – 7PM; Saturday & Sunday Noon – 6PM
Location: Canzani Center Gallery, 60 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215
Painter – Full Stop is a detailed, full-scale replica of an artist’s studio made entirely of cardboard and black paint – with a blank canvas at the center.


Grove City’s Balloons & Tunes
Date: to be announced
Hours: Friday, 5-9:30PM and Saturday, 5-9:30PM
Location: Beulah Park, 3811 Southwest Blvd., Grove City, Ohio
Cost: Admission and children’s activities are free; Parking is $5
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the entertainment and experience a spectacular view of the balloons as they launch (weather permitting). The balloon glows begin at dusk on Friday and Saturday evenings. As the sun sets, attendees have the opportunity to see the hot-air balloons up close as they light up the sky.

6th Annual Pointless Pursuit
Date: to be announced
Location: Throughout Columbus’ Unique Neighborhoods including Short North, Arena District, Downtown, Brewery District and German Village.
The Pointless Pursuit is a one day Amazing Race where teams of two run wild through the unique neighborhoods of Columbus solving crazy clues and competing in wacky challenges. Then, take part in our after party with games, prizes and food and drink specials.
At the starting line, teams are given a passport of 16 challenges. They must decipher the games, puzzles and riddles of each clue and then determine which 12 challenges they would like to complete. Strategy is key. Teams may walk, run or take public transportation. The challenges can be mental or physical, involve one or both teammates. Upon completion of each challenge, the teams get a sticker in their passport and can move on to another challenge. Once a team completes 12 challenges, they make their way to the finish line where we have an after party with games, prizes and food and drink specials.
Cost: $39 pp until August 31st; $45 pp until September 7th
This benefits Stonewall Columbus, a non-profit.

10th Annual Cat Caper 5K

10th Annual Cat Caper 5K: Benefiting the Cat Welfare Association, Columbus OH. Includes 2 Kid’s Fun Runs, vendors, a donation-only pancake breakfast, & post-race raffle. Awards include top 3 men and women runners and walkers, as well as top 3 in each age group. Also awards for top 3 dogs.

Please join the Grove City Town Center for our Annual Bourbon Tasting Event. Watershed Distilleries and Jim Beam will provide the bourbon. Food will be available for purchase from Sue-Terre’s Food Affair and cigars from Cigara.


New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix & Family Day
Date: Sunday, September 21, 2014
Location: The Wexner Home, 1 Classic Drive, New Albany, Ohio 43054
The Classic is a family-focused day of fun featuring carnival rides, crafts and entertainment, including the annual Tween Brands Concert at The Classic presented by Justice. This year’s headline act is Nashville-based pop music sensation Hot Chelle Rae with British YouTube phenom Conor Maynard opening the concert. The festivities culminate with an internationally-sanctioned Grand Prix competition that will feature athletes from the 2012 London Olympic Games. All proceeds from the event benefit The Center for Family Safety and Healing.
Tickets are $20 per person ages 11 and up. Children 10 and under are free, but a ticket is required via e events.


Chalk the Block

Location: Easton Town Center, 160 Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219
Chalk the Block is a two day event featuring artists decorating the town square at Easton Town Center with unique and colorful temporary artworks. Saturday’s main event will feature all artists working to create 6′ or 10′ designs while listening to the music of a half dozen musical acts. Sunday, the audience is invited back to see the finished products and see who was awarded.
