The Columbus Museum of Art Mission as quoted by them is: To create great experiences with great art for everyone. Whether we are presenting an exhibition, designing an art-making activity, serving a lunch, or giving directions to a visitor, we are guided by a belief in advocacy, quality, community, integrity, and creativity. We believe that art speaks to each and every one of us in different ways. Art inspires. Art challenges. Art thinks.
And this Columbus Ohio Museum fulfills that mission statement well! The Columbus Museum of Art receives around 200,000 people yearly, many of whom participate in the programs provided by the museum ranging from kids to scholars.
They also offer art for families, adults, and teachers. Families can celebrate birthdays and they have several themes for kids ages 6 through 11 as well as a hands-on art experience.
Adults can enjoy special exhibitions, art movements or a particular artist in the collection. They also provide introductory lectures.
Art Around Town is a “drop-in” programs brought to your neighborhood and includes fun, artful activities and genuine works of art.
