Look out for the Headless Horseman! Come join the Columbus Halloween fun at this 19th Century Halloween celebration!
You’ll find a children’s activity area, Halloween traditions, fortune telling, a Museum of Oddities, games and crafts are among the many activities featured this evening. A reading by the bonfire of Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow and an appearance by the infamous Headless Horseman finish this fun-filled evening.

Boo on Broadway 2011
Grove City’s Town Center will be transformed into a spooky destination. This annual, family-friendly alternative to Trick or Treat allows children to dress in costume and safely collect candy and other goodies from area business owners. A fortune teller and other spooky surprises will also be offered.
Broadway will be closed from Grant Street to Grove City Road; Park Street will be closed from Arbutus Avenue to the first driveway west of City Hall. There will be no parking on these streets beginning at 3PM. Streets will close to traffic at 5PM and will reopen at 9PM.

Broadview Bloodbath – Home Haunting For Charity
You are invited to visit the Broadview Bloodbath this October. The Bloodbath is a Columbus, Ohio home haunt (Halloween performance art event held at a private residence). This haunted yard has all the elements of a professional haunted house, but is a fundraising event for a local dog rescue. The event is free but we welcome your tax-deductible donation. 100% of our proceeds go to charity. The Broadview Bloodbath will scare you! Our crew of trained actors will take you to the edge – and over it.

Creepside Festival
More Columbus Halloween Fun…Put on your costumes for this spooktacular event that’s fun for the whole family! Event activities include a trick or treat trail with Gahanna businesses, Parks & Recreation games & crafts, music, hayrides, a haunted walk, paddle boat rides, and much more!

Fright Night 5K Run
More Columbus Halloween Fun…BOO! Join hundreds of ghosts and gobblins at the 3rd Annual Fright Nite 5K on Saturday, October 29th at 8:00pm. You’re sure to enjoy this unusual night of goulish exercise as you run (or walk) past haunted graveyards leading to the ghostly cart trails and specially illuminated Gahanna Golf Course. You will run along the well paved cart paths and return back to the beautiful Creekside Park and Plaza Old Gahanna for a little post race food and beverage at Signatures (94 Mill Street) directly across from the finish line. No whimps or scaredy cats!

Halloween at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
Dress up in costume and take part in the following family activities:
– Visit 7 trick-or-treat stations
– Create Halloween hats and bats
– Create spooky spin art ($2) or get a temporary tattoo
– Watch glassblowing demonstrations, 12 – 4pm
– See Gus the Squash Carver, 1:30 – 3:30pm

Haunted Statehouse Tours
More Columbus Halloween Fun…Stroll through the vaulted passageways and haunted marble halls by lantern light in the 146 year old Ohio Statehouse.
You’ll find a reincarted relic room with the legends and spirits of the Statehouse past.
Tall yarns spun with facts will come to life right before your eyes as you’re guided by people wearing strange costumes carrying oil lamps.
Don’t hold your breath… the tour lasts for forty minutes… breathe… breathe… breathe…
Dates: October 14, 2011, October 15, 2011, October 21, 2011 and October 22, 2011 from 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM;
Tour Times: Tours will depart every half hour between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tour times are: 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are limited to 40 individuals per tour time each night. This event has sold out during the previous six years.
Location: Ohio Statehouse, Broad, High, and Third Streets, Columbus, Ohio
Admission: Tickets for the Haunted Statehouse Tours are $12 per adult and $6 per child under the age of 12. This is a ticketed event. Tickets must be pre-ordered. Tickets go on Sale at 9 a.m. on Sept. 19.
Special activities will be available to participate in before each tour. The Capitol Cafe will have themed food available for purchase and the Statehouse Museum Shop will be open before and after the each tour. Visitors to the Ohio Statehouse are invited to park in the facility’s underground parking garage. This convenient and affordable parking offers direct sheltered access to the Ohio Statehouse for this event.
HighBall Halloween: Masquerade On High

McDonald’s Greenhouse Corn Maze
Can you defeat the five acre corn maze? Ah haa…. Come join the fun and try it! You’ll also find a huge sand box, hay wagon rides, lasso a longhorn, cute baby farm animals, and choose a cool pumpkin!

The X-Fest
The X-Fest is a newer style of festival for the Paranormal and Supernatural. It also includes other elements of Halloween that will showcase people with their own personal gifts and abilities, merchants, writers, speakers, live music and much more.
